A Co-Housing Project for Senior Women
The Sharing With Friends initiative is bringing senior women together to share a home comprised of 5 individual units with common areas. The UI design is friendly & inviting with a community atmosphere. The website was built to promote their co-housing project along with generating interest in their workshop series.
THE CHALLENGE
Designing and building a website for the Sharing With Friends initiative posed several challenges for me as a designer. One of the biggest challenges was creating a clean and contrasting layout that was easy to navigate and read. I also needed to make sure that important information, such as details about the co-housing project and the workshop series, was readily available and easily accessible to users. Balancing these objectives while also creating a visually appealing and functional website was a significant challenge.
THE SOLUTION
To overcome these challenges, I prioritized a clean and contrasting layout with simple, high-contrast color schemes and clear, legible font choices. I also made sure that important information was easily accessible, including details about the co-housing project, and that user-friendly forms were incorporated for inquiries and sign-ups. Additionally, I optimized the website for accessibility to ensure that it could be easily used by senior women with varying levels of tech proficiency. By focusing on these elements, I was able to create a website that effectively promotes the Sharing With Friends initiative and provides a positive user experience for its target audience.
